How we calculate this
This estimate is based on your location, the number of children, and the age band you select. We apply our in-house weekly allowance rate per child and multiply it across the number of children. The yearly figure is the weekly total multiplied by 52 weeks.

HOW DO THE FOSTERING PAYMENTS WORK?
The foster parent weekly payments are made up of two parts:
- An allowance to cover the cost of caring for a child - such as for food, clothing, utilities, transport, pocket money, outings and activities
- A professional fee to reward foster carers for their hard work and commitment to caring for a vulnerable child
EXPERIENCED FOSTER PARENTS
If you’re joining Organic fostering as an experienced foster parent from another agency or local authority, you’ll start on a higher fostering allowance, so long as you have more than 12 months experience and have completed the core training.
